Active Q Gym and Outdoors Activities

The concept of Active Q, Quinta do Lago’s gym, was conceived by Graham Morgan, the Algarve’s most experienced Personal Trainer and Fitness Consultant. At its heart is a commitment to a healthy outdoor lifestyle programme which takes advantage of the natural beauty of the surroundings.

In addition to a state-of-the-art indoor facility, there is an open-air studio with a full programme of activities including yoga, tai chi and Pilates. Further afield, Active Q organises beach boot camp sessions and running or biking along the scenic nature trails.

Even the architecture of the building aims to replicate the natural world. Floor-to-ceiling glass windows let the local landscape become part of the building’s interior and a sophisticated air management system creates a constant flow of cool, fresh air, ensuring the optimum temperature for exercising.

All exercise equipment has been supplied by brand leaders in the fitness industry, using the latest research, innovation and design. In keeping with the Active Q concept, Elliptigo bikes were introduced to give enthusiasts of cross training elliptical gym machines the opportunity to get out of the gym and on to the open road. They are the first such bikes available in Portugal.

Active Q is located in the Q Real Estate development on roundabout 2 in Quinta do Lago.
